In my devotions this morning I read Hebrews. I always read the Amplified Bible, and I came to Hebrews 3:6 which reads, “But Christ the Messiah was faithful over His own Father’s house as a Son and Master of it. And it is we who are now members of this house, if we hold fast and firm to the end our JOYFUL AND EXULTANT CONFIDENCE and SENSE OF TRIUMPH in our hope in Christ.”

The phrase “sense of triumph” spoke a strong admonition to me. I thought again of the palpable atmosphere of fear in the world just now re the virus. We must truly grasp the truth that worry is sin in the eyes of the Father, as it declares loudly, we do not trust God! In Isaiah 54:14,15 God says that “fear will surely gather together, but NOT from me..” (my wording). In verse 14 He says, “In righteousness shalt thou be established: thou shalt be far from oppression; FOR THOU SHALT NOT FEAR, and from oppression and from terror, for IT SHALL NOT COME NIGH THEE.” (KJV)

Fear will assault us all, but it is not to stay or find root in us. We need the revelation of our right standing in Christ purchased with His blood. Actually, all fear is a form of insanity, which is what we’re seeing manifest through this virus. Remember, GOD’S TRUTH IS THE GREAT VACCINE! Through His truth, and our belief in His truth, we should know NOT to fear and get consumed with terror. We should be manifesting a great SENSE OF TRIUMPH for the world to see. He’s promised, He’s taken an oath, that as members now of His household, we are mightily protected. However as in all Father’s promises, we must walk in FAITH in these promises.

Isaiah 50:10 is one of my favourite verses in this arena, “Who is among you who reverently fears the Lord, who obeys the voice of His Servant, yet who walks in darkness and deep trouble and has no SHINING SPLENDOR in his heart? Let him rely on, trust in, and be confident in the name of the Lord, and let him lean upon and be supported by his God (Amp).

As His people, He expects us to carry about us a “shining splendour” in our being. Do you realise the effect this has upon those who do not know God? They will again ask, “How can you be at peace? Why aren’t you afraid?” Our answer remains, “Jesus.” Jesus answered ALL Father’s promises YES (2 Corinthians 1:20).

Trust in our God! Cultivate the sense of triumph that we’re to shine with. It’s called “faith in God” isn’t it…? Yes, it’s the very basics of our faith in Christ. We trust in His unfailing love. Scripture says to examine yourselves to see if you’re in the faith. Check yourself out. Is there “shining splendour” in your hearts because of your faith in Christ? There needs to be. So, don’t get under condemnation, but come into alignment with what heaven has done for us in Jesus. Our God ABIDES faithful. Scripture says in many places that those who put their trust in Him will never be disappointed. I believe.

“For thus it stands in Scripture: Behold, I am laying in Zion a chosen, honoured, precious chief Cornerstone, and he who believes in Him, who adheres to, trusts in, and relies on Him, shall never be disappointed or put to shame.” (1 Peter 2:6 Amp)

Isaiah 28:16b (Amp) says, “he who believes, trusts in, relies on, and adheres to that Stone will not be ashamed or give way or hasten away in sudden panic.”

Trust Him.

In His love

Rod
